Disney Dream Ship Influence, Theming & Disney Details
The Disney Dream is the Fantasy’s sister ship, but Disney deliberately gave the two ships different visual personalities.
The Dream leans into glamorous Art Deco styling, with geometric details, metallic finishes and an atrium that calls back to the elegance of classic ocean liners.
Her signature characters are considerably less formal… because Donald is involved.

Every Disney Dream stateroom feels like it was made just for families by combining comfy, well‑appointed cabins with nautical elegance.
Nearly every cabin on the Disney Dream has split bathrooms, one side with shower/tub and the other with a sink and toilet which is absolutely ideal for families, making things MUCH easier when getting ready to start, or wind down your day! Split baths are Mom Approved for sure!

Disney Dream Concierge includes upgraded accommodations along with access to dedicated Concierge spaces, services and amenities. But whether Concierge is worth the additional vacation investment depends on your family, sailing, stateroom needs and how much value you will get from the added benefits.
For some families, Concierge is one of the highlights of the Disney Cruise experience. For others, we would rather put that portion of the vacation budget toward a longer sailing, a different stateroom category or other parts of the trip.

Verandah Staterooms
These staterooms are what many cruisers would call the “balcony” cabin category. Verandah cabins are the most spacious non-Concierge staterooms, each with a private verandah, some with partial views. These are a great choice for families, some cabins hold up to 5 people.

Sleeps 3-5 with 304 square feet including the private verandah, some categories have varied configurations, sitting area and heavy privacy curtain.
This cabin has more space than the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and is our MAT favorite cabin for families!

These have more space than the Standard Inside stateroom with scenic vistas through 1 large porthole window, some cabins have the 2 smaller porthole window configuration.

Inside Staterooms
These Disney Cruise Line base accommodations have a classic nautical feel, and do not have an actual exterior view, but there is a simulated magical digital porthole.
It is worth noting, Disney Cruise Line inside cabins are larger than most other cruise line inside cabins, so if you have cruised before be prepared for a little more space than you may be used to.
- Deluxe Inside Stateroom
Sleeps 3-4 with 204 square feet and a “Magical Porthole” to view a real-time view on an LCD screen that mimicks a porthole, and a few favorite Disney characters might just float by your “window.” The magical porthole can be turned off with a switch.
Split Bath – a bathroom with a vanity, sink, shower and tub and a half bathroom with a vanity, sink and toilet - Standard Inside Stateroom
Sleeps 3-4 in 169 Square feet and have a “Magical Porthole” to view a real-time view on an LCD screen that mimicks a porthole, and a few favorite Disney characters might just float by your “window.”
When it’s time for bed, the magical porthole can be turned off with a switch.

Oceaneer Club (3-10) complimentary
The central rotunda and its twinkling ceiling and stage acts as a hub to 4 different lands to explore and play. Here, kids can watch favorite Disney movies on a huge plasma screen, enjoy an engaging story time and receive special in-person and virtual visits from favorite Disney Character friends.
A state-of-the-art Magic PlayFloor allows kids to interact with the 103″ plasma screen as they ask Crush from Finding Nemo during Crush chats (similar to Turtle Talk with Crush at Walt Disney World) or enjoy a simulated tilt maze!
- Andy’s Room – Larger than life, colorful and fun Toy Story themed play area featuring a large Slinky-dog slide. The kids should sleep well after their time here!
- Star Wars Millennium Falcon – young Padawans can join the Rebel alliance for arts and crafts, Jedi training, or even climb into the cockpit to send the fastest hunk of junk throughout the Star Wars Universe!
- Disney Infinity Game Room– test your skills with an archery challenge, create with Infinity draw, or participate in the Disney racers program.
- Pixie Hollow – This highly themed area is a fun area to play dress-up, work on craft projects, listen to stories and more!
Oceaneer Lab (3-10) complimentary
With so many activities to choose from, your kiddo will find something fun going on in the Oceaneer Lab- they could be making race cars out of soap for the Piston Cup Challenge or making chocolate chip cookies during Anyone Can Cook!
- Animator’s Studio: Your kiddos will have an opportunity to create art and learn to sketch their favorite Disney characters!
- Media Room: Hosts activities throughout the day and gives kids a great space to watch movies or play a video game.

Tweens have their very own space to chill and have fun on the Disney Dream filled with activities, photo booth, tv, video games and a tween focused space designed in the forward funnel.
With electronics, a dance floor, tables, a video wall and gaming stations, there are plenty of ways to chill with fellow tweens while enjoying music, arts and crafts, karaoke, scavenger hunts, selfie walls, and themed nights of fun!
Vibe (14-17) complimentary
Teens get their very own space to call their own, designed with teenagers interests in mind. They can engage, hang or chill while mingling or doing their thing while chaperoned by counselors who are “cool” enough to be fun.
The indoor area has a nightclub vibe to it, while the teen only pool deck gives teens a place to enjoy the coffee bar, smoothies, listen to music, engage during fun video and virtual-reality game session, join in dance parties, mix tracks in the DJ area, play ping pong, foosball, giant checkers, have karaoke competitions and play games that are not cheesy or lame, but fun!
Nursery (under 3) reasonable fee required
Even the tiniest guests have an option to play in a colorful, fun childcare center while you enjoy time with the older kiddos or even a date night!
Note: It’s a Small World Nursery DOES have an additional cost, and we do suggest making reservations as capacity is limited. Reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis during open house on your cruise Embarkation Day or anytime throughout your sailing.

You really will need to pack your stretchy pants, because no matter what you are craving, no matter what mood you are in, or what time of day it is, the Disney Dream has something delicious to eat!
A Rotational Dining experience only Disney Cruise can do
One of the other areas where Disney Cruise line stands out is with the rotational dining options onboard, which is equivalent to a Dining Room experience on other cruise lines. But trust us, this experience is unlike ANY OTHER cruise line out there.
The Disney Dream has 3 themed dining venues on board, each offer a wide variety of options for every taste. Even the pickiest of kiddos will not go away hungry, promise!
- Royal Palace – exclusive to the Disney Dream, Royal Palace feels like you have been dropped into a storybook. Enjoy French and American fare. Breakfast and lunch is also offered as a seated alternative to casual options.
- Animators Palate – a truly distinctively Disney experience loved by all ages serving a fusion of Pacific Island foods, Asian cooking and Southern California fusion deliciousness – with options for the pickiest of eaters! Here you will celebrate the process of animation with favorite characters!
- Enchanted Garden – has a 4 course continental dinner everyone will love and the light and bright dining room. Enchanted Garden is also open for lunch and breakfast if you prefer to have a seated option over the Cabanas buffet or the grab and go options.
Our favorite part about Disney rotational dining is your servers move WITH you. Brace yourself for unmatched service. They get to know your kids and their preferences. We promise, these Cast Members will be one of your kid’s favorite parts of their sailing and they will be talking about their server long after you return home.

Looking for something quick so you and the family can hop back into the pool? No worries! Cabanas – a casual buffet will have tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings with plenty of tasty dessert bites!

Adult Only Dining on the Disney Dream
Disney offers an Adult only dining option on the Disney Dream perfect for date night or or brunch!
- Palo the adult-exclusive restaurant serves fine dining Italian cuisine deliciousness with thoughtful wine pairings and the legendary Palo chocolate soufflé. It is incredibly yummy!
- Remy the adult-exclusive restaurant serves fine dining French cuisine with thoughtful wine pairings. A brunch and dessert offering is also available.
Dining at Remy and Palo does require a reservation and is not included in your cruise fare, and subject to an additional charge; but your Mom Approved Travel Advisor can assist you in deciding if this something you would find valuable to splurge for.
24 Hour Room Service on the Disney Dream
Unlike other cruise lines, in-room dining or room service is complimentary (though a few select snacks and adulty beverages do have an additional cost). Lunch and dinner options like burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and grilled options are available all day, except during breakfast hours, where a continental breakfast is served.
The grilled cheese with tomato soup and the cheese plate are two MAT favorite savory bites!
Snacks are the BEST part about Disney Cruise free room service in-room dining! Milk and warm cookies before bed? Mickey bar at midnight? Absolutely.
Disney Dream Pools and Water Playareas

There are plenty of ways to enjoy pool time on the Disney Dream in pools, slide and water play areas.
Parents please note: complimentary pool vests are available on deck, so please leave floaties, rafts and pool noodles at home, as those items are not allowed onboard.
One of the ways you will see the Disney Difference onboard: you won’t need to pack pool towels for your Disney Cruise. Pool
towels are complimentary onboard, with no check-in, no check-out, and
no “lost towel” charges or fees to worry about like other cruise lines!
- AquaDuck – an elevated water coaster at Deck 12 for guests over 7 years old and 42″ tall (54″ as a single rider) who board a 2 person raft on a 765′ long journey through transparent and uncovered portions of the slide tubes uphill, downhill, and over the side of the ship before dumping you into a lazy river. At nighttime, this ride is a whole different experience!
- Mickey’s Pool – one of the main pools located mid-ship, this family pool is in the fun shape of Mickey for guests over 3 years old. Guests aged 4-14 between 38″-64″ tall can enjoy the twist and turns of the slide. There are plenty of lounge chairs to catch some rays, or even a little shade.
- Donald’s Pool – one of the main pools located mid-ship in the middle of it all, this family pool is for guests over 3 years old. There are lounge chairs to catch some rays, and this area also features the giant funnel vision screen used for deck parties and showing movies during the day!
- Nemo’s Reef – fun-filled splash deck for kids ages 3 and under featuring pop jets, bubblers and fountains—starring friends from Pixar’s Finding Nemo.
- Funnel Puddle – a family wading pool perfect for letting the kids to play and avoid getting your hair wet.
- Quiet Cove Pool – adult-exclusive 4 foot deep pool retreat with nearby Cove Cafe and coffee shop!
- Satellite Falls – the adult-exclusive wading pool near the Quiet Cove Pool and Quiet Cove cafe.

Enjoy incredible Broadway style Disney live shows in The Walt Disney Theater, a beautiful live performance venue with plenty of cozy seating.
- Beauty and the Beast – a live show whose story is familiar to the one you know from the Disney movie with a two new songs from Alan Menken!
- The Golden Mickeys –a beloved song and dance live show that pays tribute to classic Disney films in a Hollywood-awards show style theme. You’ll hear songs from: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Toy Story 2, Lady and the Tramp, Tangled, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast.

When night falls, the District becomes an adult-exclusive area of the ship catering to the grownups!
- Evolution – with a beautiful butterfly ceiling, the family can enjoy activities during the day such as: dance classes, bingo, arts and crafts. But at night this adult-exclusive area offers karaoke, enter a game show, catch a comedy show, watch live music and enjoy signature cocktails such as the Mariposa or Papillion.

Booking your Disney Cruise with a Mom Approved Travel Advisor is complimentary for most cruise vacations, as we do not charge a fee for planning your Disney Cruise vacation.
There are some unique circumstances, such as assisting as a consultant if you booked on your own, and we are unable to transfer the sailing to the agency where we would charge a consultant service fee which would be disclosed upfront.
There are never any hidden fees when working with Mom Approved Travel.
Absolutely! Some folks will see us out after excitedly booking, and realizing there is a bit more to planning than they anticipated.
If you have already booked your Disney Cruise with Disney Travel Company, depending on the circumstances we MAY be able to transfer it to the agency to allow your Advisor to assist without a fee within 30 days of booking, if you are outside of final payment.
If we are unable to transfer a cruise, we do offer a concierge planning option based on the level of service you need which will be disclosed ahead of time, as there are never hidden charges or fees working with us.

Deposits: If you are booking a cruise further out, you may only need to pay a deposit to hold your trip. Final payment dates vary and are usually based on length of cruise.

Your payments will be processed into the Disney secure payment portals by your Travel Advisor. The agency does not hold or deposit any of your vacation package funds into our company account.
DCL accepts most major credit cards. Any charges to your credit card will show up as a charge from the supplier, and not Mom Approved Travel.
Funny thing, that “certified Disney Travel Agent” term gets tossed around quite a bit- but no such term legally exists.
There are strict regulations set forth by Disney what Travel Advisors and Travel Agencies can call themselves in the legal mumbo jumbo. Believe us, you WANT a Professional Travel Advisor who understands terms & conditions well! Certified Disney Cruise Travel Agent is not one of them.

When you book with Mom Approved Travel, you are hiring a trustworthy Travel Professional who specializes in Disney destinations.
For most itineraries, the minimum age for babies to sail with a parent or guardian is 6 months at the time of embarkation; but some itineraries such as South Pacific, Transatlantic, Hawaii and Panama Canal repositioning cruises, the minimum age to sail is 1 year. Your MAT Advisor will be happy to review age requirements for the specific cruise you would like to sail with you.
Yes, it is a US Public Health Service rule that only potty trained children many enter swimming pools, hot tubs or spas on any cruise ship.
Swim diapers are NOT permitted In Disney pools, spas, hotubs or on water slides such as the AquaDuck, AquaLab and AquaDunk and AquaMouse.
Each of the DCL ship do have a water play area which allows littles who are not potty trained and use a swim diaper to utilize special water play areas:
