What is there to do at Universal Halloween Horror Nights?
Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event held rain or shine at Universal Orlando that runs on select evenings in the fall inside the Universal Studios theme park from 6:30 pm until 2:00 am.
Here are some of the killer fun Halloween Horror Night events you can anticipate:
- 10 Terrifying Haunted Houses – Have your wits about you as you explore haunted houses inspired by some of the scariest horror genre names you know and some of Universal’s own creepy creations. These heavily themed haunted houses change each year, so the scares are new each year!
- 5 Sinister Scare Zones you can test your confidence as you try to walk through through themed scare zones in the streets of Universal Studios Florida filled with Universal’s scareactors.
- Live Entertainment incredible live entertainment options to creep you out and amaze you like the live action show where you will watch acrobatics, pyrotechnics, performers dancing and plenty of music you will not want to miss!
- Rides and Attractions experience the thrill of some of your favorite attractions like Rip Ride Rocket, Revenge of the Mummy, Escape from Gringotts and Men in Black during the event and explore Diagon Alley- but watch out for wandering Death Eaters from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
- Themed food & drinks to feed your fears and taste special treats and signature drinks themed after some of the haunted houses.
- Themed merchandise brag about how tough you are with fun, themed merchandise, or remember your night of fear with items only available during the event.
Should you attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal?
We have MAT client families who choose to attend, and some who choose to skip the party and only enjoy the daytime thrills at Universal, and it is going to depend on each family. The chills are for real at this Universal event, so we need to say it again: THIS EVENT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13 AND MAY BE TOO INTENSE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. So is it for you? Ask yourself:

Spend your free time perusing the local Halloween store?

How much does it cost to go to Halloween Horror Nights?
It depends on how you would like to experience the horror.
- Single night tickets alone start around 99.68 per person + tax; but pricing varies by dates and is subject to rules, availability and restrictions.
- We can save you money when we include your Halloween Horror Night Event ticket into a Hotel and Ticket Package.
- There are also HHN Express Passes, Private RIP Tours, and Non-Private RIP Tours to consider.
What is included in the Non-Private RIP Tour?
If you want to experience the terror of HHN without the wait, the non-private RIP Tour may be worth asking your MAT Advisor to add to your package! Your RIP tour will escort your group with up to 6 of your party, along with other RIP Tour guests, will experience a structured, guided walking tour of your Halloween Horror Nights event as a small group, generally up to 12 people total. During the Non-Private RIP Tour, you will experience all of the haunted houses once, and will have reserved seating for the incredible live stage show.
You can expect Non-Private HHN RIP Tours to include the following:
- VIP entrance to Universal Studios Florida
- One-time immediate VIP entry to all haunted houses, only while with your RIP guide
- Reserved seating at select shows
- Unlimited Express access to participating regular park attractions with your RIP Tour credential following the tour
- Access to exclusive cash bar locations throughout the tour for tasty libations
- Commemorative RIP Tour credential with lanyard
- Complimentary standard valet parking for one vehicle, subject to availability
- Pre-RIP Tour Reception
Non-private RIP Tours will last about 4 hours and have various check-in times. It is important to note you can only have six people in your party, if you have seven or more guests in your group, we will need to book a private RIP tour if you want to experience a tour together, as requests for being with another group are not guaranteed. Prices vary based on date and are dynamic based on availability.
