Mom Approved Travel® is a boutique travel agency specializing in thoughtfully planned family and multigenerational vacations.

Our Travel Advisors specialize in Disney Destinations, Universal vacations, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, Alaska, guided journeys and other curated vacation experiences for families, with one very important belief behind everything we do:

OUR STORY:
Mom Approved Travel was founded by Christy Slavik in 2015 with a simple idea: family vacations should feel like a vacation for Mom, too.
What began with Christy sharing her passion for Disney and Universal vacation planning grew from seeing the same problem again and again – overwhelmed and busy parents were spending countless hours researching, comparing and managing all the details of a family trip before the vacation even began, second guessing every decision and sucking all the fun out of their before they even left.
So Christy developed unique planning systems with busy parents and families in mind, helping clients simplify their decisions confidently and ease the mental load of vacation planning. Her fresh, filter-free trip planning approach was well received and appreciated by MAT families.
So much so, as our clients’ families grew, the way they wanted to travel and the destinations they wanted to experience grew with them.
Mom Approved Travel thoughtfully expanded beyond Disney Destinations and Universal vacations into ocean cruises, Alaska, all-inclusive resorts, guided journeys and other curated travel experiences.
Today, our Travel Advisors plan vacations with leading travel brands including Disney, Universal, Royal Caribbean International, Princess Cruises, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, along with other trusted cruise lines, resorts and tour operators around the world.
Along the way, Christy has carefully built a team of Travel Advisors who share the same commitment to knowledgeable advice, thoughtful planning, strong client communication and a refreshingly no-nonsense approach to family travel.

WHAT WE BELIEVE:
At Mom Approved Travel, one of our core beliefs is simple: Moms should get a vacation too.
What this means is, Mom should actually enjoy going on vacation – she should not be stressing or spending her precious time worrying about which kid-friendly activities are in the Bahamas, how best to navigate Walt Disney World, spending hours researching all the packing things, or making sure she doesn’t miss important payment, activity or check-in deadlines.
Family vacations come with a surprising number of decisions, where to stay, which ship to choose, how to get there, what needs to be reserved, what is worth the extra cost and which details actually matter to your family. Most busy Moms (and Dads) suffer from decision fatigue at the end of the day.

Its programs include the renowned Certified Travel Associate (CTA) certification programs of which some Certified Mom Approved Travel Advisors are graduates.

For over 20 years the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, corporate, travel and entertainment professionals around the globe providing evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with its board of clinical and subject matter experts and autistic individuals to provide professionals with a better understanding of autism and other neurodivergencies.
